Copy of Making Time

Children love it when you spend quality time with them. The time spent does not have to be “busy” time. Your child will be very happy to just have some quiet time alone with you. Instead of engaging in vigorous, loud activities such as running outdoors, or playing in the park, try something quieter. By having this quiet time with  your little ones, it teaches them to relax and enjoy low key activities. These sorts of activities will encourage thinking, self direction, and creativity. In order for your child to help reduce stress, and learn about emotional control, provide them some down time activities. Some great quiet time activities are listed below.

  • Grow an indoor garden
  • Read a story
  • Go on a picnic
  • Take a walk outdoors
  • Work on a puzzle
  • Craft & Art work
  • Create Button Trees
  • Beading or Lacing
  • Playdough
  • Use Sensory Jars
