Summer is in full swing.  What have you done? Where have you gone? Children LOVE spending time outdoors and playing. Even more so, they love spending time with YOU.

As parents, it is sometimes hard to come up with new and exciting things to do with our little ones. But keep in mind, sometimes the simplest things are the most exciting. Below, find our “Summer Bucket List”.

How many of these activities can you currently check off the list? How many will you check off the list by Summer’s End?

  • Have a picnic in the back yard
  • Have a picnic in the park
  • Watch the sun set out at the beach
  • Fly a Kite
  • Set up a tent and have a ‘camp out’ in the backyard
    • Go camping in the woods or at the lake
  • Paint ‘pet’ rocks
  • Go Mini Golfing
  • Have a Backyard Water Day
    • Water-balloon fights
    • Turn on the Sprinkler
    • Play on a slip and slide
  • Catch Fireflies in a jar
  • Stay up late and watch the stars
  • Build the biggest sand castle ever
  • Make Ice cream in a Bag
  • Roast Marshmallows over an open camp fire
  • Blow bubbles
  • Go on a Nature Walk
  • Swim in the Lake
  • Make Tie Dyed Shirts/Shorts
  • Play in the Rain – Jump in the Puddles
  • Go to a Zoo
